Who’s behind the scenes?

Saarene is a scientist by training and an artist by nature. She spent over a decade working in academic research laboratories after grad school running genetic sequencers and getting really comfortable reading scientific literature.

This background gets put to good use formulating safe products and helping to understand the chemistry behind them.

Saarene always likes a good challenge and makes a point of using ingredients that are processed as little as possible, sourced sustainably, and are never derived from palm oil.

When she’s not making and formulating products she is raising two boys, tripping over the cat, enjoys cooking, crafts like crochet and knitting, and is generally a nerd and proud of it.
